Editors’ Notes

On his Stateside breakthrough, Toronto MC Kardinal Offishall serves up a brand of hip-hop that’s visceral and relentless, yet undeniably pop-friendly. Though the album boasts appearances by Rihanna, T-Pain, The-Dream, and Akon, Kardinal’s guests don’t overshadow his outsized personality and shout-’em-out, dancehall-influenced raps. The swerving, seductive “Dangerous” was Kardi’s first international smash, and while the thunderously percussive “Numba 1 (Tide Is High)” was written as a Toronto anthem, it’s powerful enough to rouse you with pride no matter where you are.

Customer Reviews

Kardinal's lyrics are on par with lil wayne's if not better and the lyrics are way better so, ummm, yea this is a lot better than lil wayne's album. The beats are amazing.

More than worth it!

This may be the best Hip-Hop Album of the year. Fave tracks are numerous: Bad Like We Bad (fire), Digital Motown (hit), Family Tree (hit), Nina (more fire), Going In (rugged), Numba 1 - tide is high (classic), Set it off (Gangsta). Very diverse dude. He really delivers a classic hip-hop album. Brooklyn is reppin' for Kardi hard right now. Big up KO!

Long time coming for kardi

Not 4 Sale, I must say is On POINT!!! Definately a progression in his older music, Which we don't get enough out of artists these days. If your asking yourself, "who is this guy" then check his stats before you go dismissing him. Jay-z, 50cent, Clipse, just to name a few....but he's an artists in his own right, and this album speaks for its self. If your from the T-dot, make sure to buy this one, and if your not, BUY IT ANYWAYS.
