Great album...A+

Trent Reznor recommended this new artist, and I must say he was on to something. I loved the 5 preview tracks so much I bought the special pre order shirt pack...it was worth it. This is good music that makes you want to listen over and over. Every track is worth a listen...buy now!

Best album by a former NIN (live) member

Ok, I'll begin by saying this is a great art-pop-electronic offering in a year full of really good electronic music: i.e. How To Destroy Angels, Crystal Castles (II), Autolux's Transit Transit, and HEALTH's //DISCO 2. SONOIO holds its own among these 2010 electro-dynamos and who's really surprised? Alessandro Cortini was a member of Reznor's crew for good reason: He can program music like nobody's business! I've enjoyed the work of other former NIN members like Charlie Clouser, Danny Lohner, and Chris Vrenna, who have each done outstanding work. What these gentlemen have lacked, however, is a cohesive feel and theme that SONOIO really accomplishes. SONOIO's is driven by genius electronic beats but it is also lyrically driven. 'Not Worth Remembering' is enthralling as it seems to explore the disposable nature of a broken relationship, while 'Heartbeat' and 'Hold on Let Go' are equally catchy and seem lyrically focused on release in death and life's more hopeless days, perhaps? "I don't have answers- only little things called possibilities." As vague as that line sounds, it encapsulates this album and SONOIO comes off as lyrically sincere and confused with addictive beats and electro-riffs. Just listen and enjoy. Trust me...

Amazing album

This is easily my favorite album of the year. Each track is beautiful both musically and lyrically. If I had to pick a favorite track, it'd likely be Houdini. The combination of Alessandro and Jonathan Bates' (Mellowdrone / Big Black Delta) voices go together beautifully and just bring the song to another level. Do yourself a favor, check out this album.
