iTunes Editors’ Notes

Atlanta-based Gucci Mane hit the scene in 2005, blowing up with the single "Icy." In the years since, he's stuck to his unapologetically one-dimensional style, rhyming exclusively about relentless drug dealing and dollar-stacking on albums like Trap House, Back to the Trap House, and Trap-a-Thon. You might think that with all the other rock-and-riches-obsessed rappers (Young Jeezy, T.I., and Rick Ross, to name a few), perhaps Gucci would try to mix it up a little. But you'd be mistaken. Released in early 2013, shortly before his movie role in Spring Breakers, Trap God 2 gives fans more of the same: 15 tracks dedicated exclusively to narcotics trafficking and living the high life in every way imaginable. Slow and skittering beats support his lackadaisical flow on joints like "Servin," "Bob Marley," and "Can't Interfere with My Money." Features come from likeminded superstars Lil Wayne ("Bullet Wound"), Wiz Khalifa ("Nothin on Ya"), and Waka Flocka ("Breakfast").
