The other night, I was listening to Crossroads with my wife and Indie daughter and telling them how deeply I relate to Crossroads. My wife looked up Calvin Russell, only to realize that he died of liver cancer in early April of this year ... about one month after this album's release. What a loss...

The lyrics -- from a man with a death sentence -- are haunting. Let the Music Play, talks about "above-below it's just a magic shadow show .... nothing I can do, nothing I can say, wouldn't change a single day."

Just let the music play....

His life was epic. I will pay him the compliment that many a man will never get... he lived at least three lifetimes.
