iTunes Review

Nothing More subverts all expectations of a metal album, twisting genre conventions into something ambitious, singular, and refreshing. The anxious pulse of lead track “Ocean Floor” gives way to the blistering “This Is the Time (Ballast),” which comes loaded with quick-fingered, guitar-hero crescendos and pounding drums that the rest of the album builds upon. But the Texan band also displays impressive diversity, from the understated, heart-on-sleeve “I’ll Be OK” to the absolutely monumental, slow-rising epic “God Went North.”

Can’t Get Enough!

Holy mother of hard rock. These guys are a phenomenal example of why hard rock is still relevant today. Congrats to the fellas for landing a killer tour this summer with the butt-kicking Five Finger Death Punch, the psychobilly Danes: Volbeat, and the fellow Texas-based supergroup: Hellyeah.

Inspirational and jaw dropping can't miss album

I've just gotten done listening all the way through this album for the third time and I have nothing but good things to say. If you listen to this album from beginning to end, you get the full effect of their music. Every song is strong by its own right and easily worth the small asking price of 7.99. This album is like a movie from beginning to end as it opens strongly with "ocean floor" and seamlessly transitions to the hard hitting song "this is the time" until it ends with the finale of "god went north". Then you're treated to the calming and inspirational "pyre".
But i want to talk about god went north and pyre. God went north is honestly a musical masterpiece and you can just tell they poured their heart blood and tears into that song. It's now my favorite song of all time. Filled with amazing lyrics, stunning musical dynamics and progression throughout the whole song, and an unexpected ending that literally made my jaw drop. I asked myself "did they really just end it like that?" it was so unexpected and I was left marveling at the masterpiece I just listened to. You won't find a song like this from anyone else anywhere.
Now onto pyre, it has an extremely slow start but focuses on an inspirational meaning to it that almost made me want to applaud at the end. I won't spoil it but you really should check this out, you would find meaning in this if you ever just looked up in the sky and thought about how small you are.
Those songs stood out to me so much I felt like i needed to write that review focusing on them. But every other song on this album is still easily worth your time and amazing in it's own right. My advice, if you buy this album (and you really should buy it) go ahead and listen to it all the way through from beginning to end, i guarantee you will not be disappointed, or your money back. (I might be lying about the money part)

My Boys

I know these guys personally. They are by far the most talented and musically creative band that has come alive in a long time. Their live shows are amazing. But when you meet these guys, thats what makes them special. They are humble and modest and love to have a good time. Support this band because this is what music is all about.
