iTunes Review

After a two-year absence, Fireflight returns with newly recruited drummer Adam McMillion (ex-Search the City) supplying added rhythmic drive to the band's metal-tipped sonic attack. Justin Cox and Glenn Drennen flex considerable guitar muscle on aggressive upbeat rockers and arena-sized ballads alike. Lead singer Dawn Michele soars high above the tracks, exploring an emotional landscape scarred by fear, shame, and confusion. The hope of spiritual redemption is snatched from despair in blazing tunes like “Stay Close,” “Escape," and “Prove Me Wrong.” As on past releases, Fireflight proves masterful at delivering sanctified anthems with shout-along choruses. ("Ignite” and the title number are particularly galvanizing.) “Stronger Than You Think” lets Michele rip into a demonic oppressor with palpable fury, while “He Weeps” confronts questions of human suffering from a biblical perspective. “Rise Above” reveals a more restrained (but no less intense) side of the band.

It Only Gets Better!

As an avid fan of Fireflight, not only am I in love with the new CD, but you will too once you listen to their hit single Stay Close and the rest of their album.

Caught me off guard

I was not expecting this album to be so high paced, or the awesome guitar riffs.

1. Stay Close 10/10

2. Ignite. 8/10

3. Escape 9/10

4. He Weeps. 7/10 ( Not as good as Name from their last album in my opinion, but I'm glad so many others liked it)

5. Keeping me alive 3/5

6. Stronger than you think 8/10

7. Prove me wrong 3/5

8. Dying for your love 7/10

9. Rise Above 8/10 ( others might not agree but this was one of my personal favs)

10. Now 10/10

This was more mature than For Those Who Wait, but it still had the positive uplifting message. It was awesome.
