iTunes Review

Even with two discs, not all of Tim McGraw's radio chart-toppers could fit in this still-generous 24-track offering. Number One Hits is sequenced non-chronologically, but the songs play with the cohesive flow of a proper album—or in this case, a double album. The emotionally heavy power ballad "Live Like You Were Dying" sets the tone, with a riveting narrative crooned in his warm tenor over orchestrally arranged country-pop. But it’s the catchy, uplifting, and anthemic chorus here that serves as a great reminder that McGraw has scored at least one chart-busting hit each year since 1994. Fans of his early recordings are sure to get nostalgic over his early hits, like the similarly sentimental “Don’t Take the Girl” and the infectious, honky-tonkin’ line-dance rocker "I Like It, I Love It" from his 1995 album All I Want. “It’s Your Love,” McGraw’s heartfelt duet with his wife, Faith Hill, is easily the most romantic song here. The hard-driving “Felt Good on My Lips” provides the essential new cut.

Tim, please find a new record label

I can't even imagine how upset he must have been after learning Curb had this is store for the holidays. I thought that after the Greatest hits 3 fiasco, this wouldn't happen anymore. As for content at hand here, quite simply, it doesn't get much better. 24 radio smashes for the price of only $11.99 is pretty great. It is, but we want new material.

What can I say......

Love this man and the music he produces.... It's definitely country no doubt and I own every cd...

I Miss Back When..... you used to make good albums.

Stop releasing greatest hits CDs after every two good songs!!! Like the others have said, I'm sure this isnt Tim's doing, but honestly, this is getting out of hand. You think they would have learned after Vol. 3. At this rate, Tim will have more greatest hits CDs than regular albums. Aside from that, the songs are great.

When Tim McGraw debuted in the early '90s, few would have predicted that he would eventually take over Garth Brooks' position as the most popular male singer in country music. Yet that's exactly what he did, thanks to a string of multi-platinum albums, a high-profile marriage to fellow superstar Faith Hill, and Brooks' own inevitable decline. His sound epitomized the strain of commercial country that dominated his era: updated honky tonk and Southern-fried country-rock on the uptempo tunes, well-polished,...
