Dissapointed in this.

When I first the song 65 about a year ago, I had really been anticipating this album to be even better than MellowHype's previous releases (YelloWhite and BlackenedWhite). After listening to this entire album all through, I must say that Numbers is exactly what I was afraid it was gonna be; just another hyped up Odd Future release that doesn't live up to it's name. There are so many pot holes in this album in regards to Hodgys lyrics and even Left's production, and I can't believe I'm saying that. I'm beginning to miss the days that Odd Future was at there most creative and rebellious, the fire they brought and the passion that had been so prevalent in their music back in 2009/2010. Now ever since the release of Tyler's Goblin last year, it seems like all OF does is put a bunch of tracks together, release a single plus a music video, slap an upside cross on the cover and put the album out. And there you go, you've got an Odd Future album in 2012. In summary, both Numbers and OF Tape Vol. 2 seem like lazily composed Odd Future compilations and are clear representations that OF really doesn't care much for making music anymore. The fanboys and bandwagoners will no doubt love this thing, but I believe the true Odd Future fans, myself included, will realize what this LP is missing: passion. But then again, what do I know, I'm just a f*ggot hipster.

Don't sleep on this one.

After a couple of listens, this maybe Odd Future fans favorite album from the group in bout a month. Hodgy Beats lyrics keep growing, all the features & production is great on here. It shows first listeners that Tyler, The Creator aint the only talented person in the group. For all the people that says all they talk bout is the devil & killing people, take a listen to prove yourself.

Part of the strange and underground universe that is Odd Future, MellowHype are a splinter group featuring members Hodgy Beats and Left Brain. The duo made its debut in 2010 with the self-released album YelloWhite, which featured production from Left Brain and his Odd Future cohort Tyler, the Creator. The album was made available as a free download through the Odd Future website, as was their second effort, BlackenedWhite, which arrived later in the year. A second edition of BlackenedWhite was released...
