If you had functional eardrums back in the early '90s, you knew Naughty by Nature. Thanks to gigantic hits like "O.P.P." and "Hip Hop Hooray," the group dominated airwaves and dance floors from Newark to Nigeria. With Anthem, Inc., it celebrates 20 years in the game. This is Naughty by Nature's sixth album, but it's the first since 2002's IIcons and the first with the full original lineup since Nineteen Naughty Nine: Nature's Fury. The last third of the album revisits several early hits, including "Uptown Anthem" and "Feel Me Flow," but most songs here are all new and surprisingly tight; Naughty by Nature hasn't lost its knack for creating simple, feel-good party bangers that you can listen to again and again. Highlights include "Doozit" with Syleena Johnson, "Gunz & Butta," "Perfect Party" featuring Joe, and the thought-provoking, politically minded "Impeach the Planet."
