Mirel Wagner's voice is at times haunting and at times sultry, but always perfect. Her lyrics are dark and catchy, and her music makes prominent use of a single guitar, often with no other instrument or very subtle accents. The whole album is great, but strong recommendations would be 1 2 3 4, The Dirt, Dreamt of a Wave, and Taller Than Tall Trees. If you liked her first album, this one is along the same lines tonally., and if you *haven't* heard her first album, you definitely need to check it out. Wagner is absolutely someone to keep an eye on.
