iTunes Editors’ Notes

In the event you've confused the cover of Jim Gaffigan's Obsessed for the latest Calvin Klein ad, the comedian sets the record straight on the first track: "I don't know if you can tell by my beard, but I'm fat." Indeed, being mid-sectionally challenged is among the concerns of the veteran comic (see the tracks "Donuts," "Fried Bread," and "Chinese Desserts"). But he also riffs on his strange tendency to reproduce ("5 Kids") and the similarities between bars and kindergartens ("Bars"). Gaffigan's success is impressive: 10 albums, two books, and multiple film and TV roles into his career, the comedian has built a cottage industry out of working "clean": no swear words or racy subject matter. That's some feat considering today's expletive-laden comedy circuit.
