His most fully-formed and emotional album

Ghostpoet has always been a gritty but affable lyricist, but on this LP his lyrics strike a deeper chord. They're poignant and pointed, especially on title track "Shedding Skin" where he takes on the role of a homeless man. The production is more organic this time around, making for a more comfortable and engaging listen. Despite his prowess behind the boards, cold electronics never quite suited him in the same way they do a James Blake or Weeknd.

BEST 'newer' band i've heard in a LONG time!

just heard "ghostpoet"couple days ago on jools holland. seems they've around since 2010. blend of music styles, & god lord, a REAL artist, not out for hits. but it IS catchy, sorta minimalistic, each member adds to make up great songs. i esp. like them live.
quick highlights 'x marks the spot', 'off dreams', 'shedding skin'.
