This album is a walk through the past to a time before the advent of the British invasion which brought back to the states the music so many englishmen had strived to acquire and develope as their own. Chicago and /American delta blues or rhythm and blues was exposed to eager young listeners hungry for a this style of music which they poured themselves into. I had the pleasure to see Long John Baldrey in 1970. I later had the joy of seeing Rod Stewart with the Faces on his Ooo La la tour. I wish I could have seen this group which was way ahead of their time and an extraordinary combination of talent. Brian Auger is one of the more highly underrated and unknown artists as far as mainstream goes. You owe it to yourself to listen to pick up on the influences put forth by all of these members which opened the floodgates of great music for years to come.
