Hard Rain

It probably helps to be a Dylan fan, but I think most rock fans can appreciate the raw emotion of this recording. My personal favorite is the live rendition of "Idiot Wind". This man is angry and the emotion is incredible.

Most folks just don

What a great Rock N' Rolling thunderous album. The out of sync music, raw emotion and songs that just beg to be shouted from the rooftops. One of the finest live songs ever here with "Idiot Wind" with the line "You'll never know the hurt I've suffered, nor the pain I rise above" is worth the price of the album alone. These guys and gals are having fun jamming (sometimes out of key but what the heck) and enjoying Dylan's music. I personally believe it presents some of theses songs so much better than even the studio recordings, and I'm talking about Maggie's Farm, Shelter From the Storm and Lay Lady Lay. The slightly off key backup vocals make this a rockin three ring circus of a live recording...and I love the circus.

As a musician, he sparked several genres of pop music, including electrified folk-rock and country-rock....
