Superb collection of German pop/rock tunes

Munchener Freiheit hit Germany and the rest of central Europe by storm in the 1980s with a set of antematic pop/rock tunes, strongly influenced by new wave music with all kinds of synth. I would compare them closely to Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran, The Outfield, ABC, Thompson Twins, and the like. Any fan of those bands would love this album. For an English speaking listener with little or no understanding of German, I would still highly recommend getting the whole album. You can hear their distinct sound going through all the singles.

The only thing I can criticize is that this album is missing the band's sole U.S. and U.K. crossover hit, the superb "Keeping the Dream Alive". But that's a minor point.
