Album Review

Part of Universal's massive 20th Century Masters/The Millennium Collection, this 12-song budget set draws on a dozen of Hall's best-known tunes. Highlights include "Old Dogs, Children, and Watermelon Wine," "Ballad of Forty Dollars," and "The Year That Clayton Delaney Died." A perfect, bare-bones introduction to this artist.

The Best of Country Music

I've followed tom since i was 11 years old, have every record i can get my hands on, he is what real country music is about. I'm now 50 and wish he'd make a appearance in KY just one more time. His music each and every song on this record is like looking back at pictures, you remember the good times and the bad of youth. He is a wonderful song writer and singer. I'm sure a true country fan would love this addition to your collection

Only song that i really like.

When i was born my mom and dad name me clayton. Not after the song Clayton Delaney but after a family member that i found out later. When i got older and my older friends would call me Clayton Delaney. So that song has meaning to me.

missing something

Well this is a good collection but it's missing "Hello Vietnam". I can't find it on itunes anywhere

Hall is the son of a bricklaying minister, who gave his child a guitar at the age of eight. He had already begun to write poetry, so it was a natural progression for him to begin writing songs. Hall began...
