Some cross-eyed fun

I remember seeing these guys everytime they'd come to Athens in the early 90s. They always put on one of the best, ballz out shows around. This download is totally worth $10, just for the songs from 'Effete and Impudent Snobs' alone. Definitely devil-in-a-child style grog rock.

What!

Welcome

I'm a huge Cows fan. One of my top 5 favorite bands of all time. Cool distorted wall-of-noise guitar, great, great lyrics and a slide bass. The slide bass will melt your face. Trumpet blasts appear on all subsequent albums, however. It's missing a couple of good songs off the middle album, and they omitted, inexplicably the song "The Man" from Peactika, which I think is the coolest song on that album and should not have been omitted. On the other hand, they tossed in One O'Clock High which is a song that does not appear on any of their other albums and is one of their absolute best songs. Their entire catalog is terrific. You should get it all. (Good luck trying to find Taint Pluribus, Taint Unum.)

Formed in the mid-'80s by idiosyncratic lead singer Shannon Selberg, the Cows appropriated the hardcore guitar...
