Album Review

Anyone who listened to R&B radio in 2001 is no doubt familiar with Olivia's hit single "Bizounce." The song's stunning contrast of seductive music and brutally frank lyrics about infidelity made for one of the most memorable singles of the year. If you thought Olivia vented all her rage in "Bizounce," then you better run for cover. Her self-titled debut features tracks like "Silly Bitch in Love," an equally venomous account of a lover's infidelity. Olivia does show some range, however, showing her tender side on "When 2 Souls Touch." While her softer tracks show some versatility, Olivia is at her best when she is venting her spleen rather than revealing her soul.

So...

If ur just discovering Olivia because of that stupid hip hop show, ur LATE. She released this album 10 years ago.

Underrated

I think she has a great voice and she could be a big star if she was promoted the right way. She kinda reminds me of Amerie because they both have talent but they dont get the recognition that they deserve.

She needs to go back to her roots.

I bought this cd back when it came out and I was a fan. I feel like she needs to go back to that thuggish R&B sound she had. Even though still she didnt get enough recognition when this cd came out.
