Beautifully Brilliant!

I wasn't sure what to expect from this album, but having just finished listening to it from start to finish, I felt I should write a little something. I should preface this by mentioning that Matt Marks and I attended grad school several years ago on Long Island. I remember one evening after class I noticed that he was wearing one of those WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) bracelets. Now, this was the same guy who had been joyously reading passages aloud from the Marquis de Sade's writings the day before during an orchestra rehearsal. I, of course, asked him if he was using the bracelet to fool girls at bars. He said, and I paraphrase, "No, I just think it's really interesting how they respond and react to it." I thought that was a really interesting observation then, and I think this album is the expression of what he found so fascinating. The music is a blend of frank sexual emotion, wide eyed innocence, and religious fanaticism. Simply put, I think it's great and I'm looking forward to finding my good set of headphones so I can give this album another listen.

Highly Recommended for Sexually Active Christians and Others

This record is full of incredibly moving and clever songs, ear-worms that I will happily allow to squirm in my ears for hours and hours. Besides, I am out of Q-Tips. Seriously, though, you should buy this record if you're interested in artfully made, tenderly humorous rock/pop songs about sex and Jesus Christ. And if you're not already interested in sex and Jesus Christ, you will become interested in them when you buy this record.

dude this is the weirdest/coolest thing i've heard in a long time. totally out there in a great way, but really emotional at the same time.
