Album Review

Headline News captures some of the finest moments from gospel singer Inez Andrews. From her beginnings as a child prodigy in her church choir to her work with the Caravans and Andrewettes, her angelic alto melded beautifully in a group setting and handled lead vocals dynamically. Her solo work in the '70s capitalized on this side of her talent, and it's this part of her career that Headline News documents. Tracks like "Lord Don't Move the Mountain," "The Healer" and "There's a God Somewhere" feature Andrews at the peak of her powers.
