These songs are roots, tugging deep on dirt and life. When you give an honest oak of a man a guitar, a front porch, friends to love, a world to move in, and a life to grow through, then you get a record like this. A real heart.


This record is not only a great listen from start to finish, it's a masterpiece in phases. It flows as if the artist is telling a story. Pick this up and listen to it mutiple times for it gets better with each listen. That is a sign of a timeless, thoughtful record. "Thing About Trouble" is my favorite but that may change the next time I listen."
