Five For Fighting

This album is missing something for me. 100 Years is an amazing song along with Dying. I would recommend those two songs Best Songs in order: 1. 100 Years 2. Dying 3. Maybe I 4. One More Love 5. Nobody

An epically amazing album worth every penny

Five For Fighting are definitely one of my favorite bands ever...John Ondrasik is an amazingly talented singer songwriter...ok heres a nice song by song review 1. NYC Weather Report - really nice took a while to grow on me but now I really like it! kinda reppetive but that is a-ok! good stuff! 8.5/10 2. The Devil In the Wishing Well - one word: EPIC. This is just an all around amazing song...I still am yet to figure out what it means but it is fun guessing! There is some great imagery as far as the lyrics go and the music of course add to the amazing effect! There is some beautiful piano and strings arrangements in this song as well as great vocals...definitely one of my favs on the album. 10/10 3. If God Made You - Another beautiful song from Ondrasik! I love the lyric "If God made you he's in love with me" it is really amazing...kinda wish I thought of that! There is some amazing vocals from Ondrasik, as always, and some great guitar too! Very sweet song 9/10 4. 100 Years - everyone has heard this song! One of the first songs I heard from Five For Fighting and it is just freakin beautiful! I have cried to this song more than once hahaha and I also love the video! Although after getting all FfF has to offer...I find that 100 Years has kinda lost its thunder...sorry 9/10 5. Angels and Girlfriends - gotta love that harmonica! and the lyrics to the song are pretty great! kinda pickin up the pace in this song and has also grown on me...but Five For Fighting is definitely not rockin their hardest yet hahaha 9/10 6. Dying - Now this is one of the prettiest songs ever...but it is very sad...I absolutly love this song! The piano arrangement is superb and the lyrics are just amazing! I also can relate to this song...just amazing. Best song? maybe 10/10 7. Infidel - Alright now this is definitely a harder jam! Ondrasik proves that he can rock! The subject of this song is very interesting and I wonder where he came up with it hahaha just proves how amazing of a songwriter Ondrasik is...awesome stuff although I am happy to inform you Ondrasik hasn't started rockin yet! 9/10 8. Disneyland - Now this song took some getting used to...but I am happy someone finally wrote a song about Disneyland! hahaha but its a pretty laid back song and makes me feel pretty relaxed! Although I have to say these are definitely not Ondrasik's best vocals...its more spokenish vocals which for me took some getting used to...8.5/10 9. Maybe I - This song didn't really stand out to me at first...and doesn't really stand out that much now either...although the vocals and lyrics are very nice and it is very relaxing. 8/10 10. The Taste - For everyone who has just heard Superman and 100 Years they would never ever expect Five For Fighting to write a song like this! But I LOVE this song!! I like how they have some nice strings during the verse and come chorus time all hell breaks loose hahaha and when he screamed "And all the children started singin!!" It totally melted my face off! Also the guitar solo thing near the end is epic as well! Amazing stuff!! 10/10 11. One More For Love - just like Maybe I, this song never really stood out to me very much...that doesn't mean it is not totally great! Some great piano and vocals from John! So yep pretty good but compared to the other stuff on the album it is not as good 8/10 12. Nobody - I absolutly adore how this song just totally sums up the entire album. I don't think it has the same effect if you listen to the song alone but with the album as a whole it is amazing with the spoken part near the middle. The rest of the song is also really great! Very pretty! 9/10 So this album is EPICALLY AMAZING so I really reccomend you buy the entire album! But if you must just buy a few songs then buy these: 1. The Taste 2. The Devil in the Wishing Well 3. Dying

If you buy any of these songs...

get "The Devil In the Wishing Well" It is an amazing song! I love it! 100 Years and Angels and Girlfriends used to be my favorite FfF songs, but now it's one about the devil. Wierd, huh?

Five for Fighting is the one-man band of John Ondrasik, who rose to fame in 2001 on the strength of the pop/rock ballad "Superman (It's Not Easy)." Although originally released in 2000, the single became popular after the events of September 11, 2001, which shone new light on Five for Fighting's tale of flight, insecurity, and heroics. Another Top 40 hit, "100 Years," followed three years later, thus cementing Five for Fighting's status as one of the decade's leading balladeers. Born and raised...
