Customer Reviews

This is one of the best albums of the 80's, period. Heartfelt and exquisitely performed songs, echoing many influences but mimicking none. Think Buffalo Springfield or the Byrds musically but with better production, incredible guitar riffs, and equally compelling songwriting. It's about time that this now defunct band gets some credit for being criminally igonored, finding them on iTunes is an incredible joy. A little research will provide the reader of this review with some interesting information regarding the members of this band who went on in other directions musically. But, in my opinion, this was their true calling. A great Midwestern band, unmatched to this day. "Carry The Torch" and "Heart Country" for those of you with only two bucks to spend.

Great Album

I bought this when it was released and song for song, it is one of my favorite all time discs. This is a great example of American music at it's best. I was checking for it every month or so on itunes and was excited to see it. A steal at $7.99, every song is strong but my favorites are Heart Country and Rain on You.

Vig and Erikson were previously in the group Spooner. After Spooner broke up, Davis, Vig, and Steve Marker (guitars) formed the short-lived First Person in 1986....
