Album Review

As evidenced by their 2008 self-titled release, One Way Mirror are very angry gentlemen, as singer Guillaume Bideau screams and hollers his way throughout the entire album. But...they haven't entirely blown their tops, as bits of honest to goodness melody can be heard from time to time. It's hard to tell at times if the group is an extreme metal act, a nu metal act, or a Fear Factory-esque electro-metal act. And that's probably just the way One Way Mirror like it. A case in point: there are few metal bands nowadays that would have the cajones to go from the aggro-melodic metal of the album-opening "Destination Device" and the Pantera-esque "Danger Calling" to a charged-up cover of "Relax" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. All in all, One Way Mirror's self-titled release presents a group that, unlike most, manages to appeal to several different metal subgenres. And judging how fickle metal fans can sometimes be, this is certainly no mean feat.

Customer Reviews

This band is easily one of the best that i've heard in a long time. Its got members from Mnemic, Scarve, Lyzanxia, and Soilwork. This band isn't as heavy as the members' other bands are, but its heavy enough and there aren't any mellow or soft songs on this CD, which is a huge plus. Almost every song on this CD is insanely catchy with great vocals and slick guitar riffs. Anyone who is a fan of metal or rock absolutely has to check this band out.

I love this band. Their music is just so great and it gets you. Just makes you want to rock

I Knew this cd would rock.

I anticipated this cd for half a year before its realease and it did not dissappoint. There is not one song on the cd i dont like which is rare for a band to do!
