I've been a fan of SYG for a few years now. Their EP was fun, Mutiny! was awesome and This Will Be the Death of Us showed how SYG grew and expanded upon their first album. However, their third album, Burning At Both Ends, was a dud. There are a few good songs on that album, but overall it didn't really work. It was too... clean? polished? poppy? maybe over-produced is the best word to describe it. I thought it lacked the SYG energy and pop-punk flavor. I've seen SYG three times since they put that album out, and everytime they play the BFBE songs the crowd seems disengaged and not interested.

These two new songs are a step back in the right direction! the musianship is great, especially the drumming. the vocals sound a lot better than on BFBE, and the song structures seem stronger. SYG put a little mustard on these songs, compared to those on BFBE. I'm excited to see where they go on their 4th album, which is due out possible this winter, but probably more likely early spring '13!

summer jams!

These two songs are a great addition to any fan of set your goals previous work, great melodies, and very energetic! they always put out fun stuff to listen to! get these tracks now!

Comprised of vocalists Jordan Brown and Matt Wilson, guitarist Dave Yoha, bassist Joe Saucedo, and drummer Michael Ambrose, the guys later rechristened their eponymous EP Reset for an April 2006 reissue on Eulogy that included...
