Editors’ Notes

Buckcherry’s second album, from 2001, didn’t match the commercial heights of their debut—but like AC/DC and Mötley Crüe before them, they showed fans that there was little reason to stray from musical tradition. Aside from two ballads (“You” and “Open My Eyes”), the album is utterly relentless. The band suckerpunch their way through trashy road yarns and sleazy broken hearts with uncanny metal cocksureness. “Porno Star” is purposely loveless-sounding, while “Slammin’” and “Whiskey in the Morning” hit hard-rock sweet spots. “Riding” rewrites their massive hit “Lit Up,” and that’s a good thing; there’s no reason to fix what ain’t broken.

Customer Reviews

Buckcherry has been my favorite band since the hit the airwaves in 99' with lit up and the whole debut album. when i first heard about Timebomb coming out i was so pumped for it. it definitely did not dissapoint me. even though it was not as popular or probably as good as the debut album i still believe these guys topped any hard rock album in 2001. there needs to be more bands like Buckcherry maybe not the sound but you just don't see pasion like this in bands anymore. Buckcherry is god's gift to Rock N' Roll!

Following the subsequent addition of second guitarist Yogi Lonich, Buckcherry signed with DreamWorks Records and issued their...
