A Comic Genius at work...

This album is a RIOT! Very topical but the kind of topical that remains funny five years down the road. And as the other reviewer says, he sounds comfortable with himself and his act and it shows in spades. Some of the jokes might fly over the head of the under 35 crowd (Pop Quiz - Do you know the difference between MTV's Kennedy and John Kennedy?) but overall this album is sure to please any comedy fan. (No one ever seems to mention it but the ethnic voices and impressions he uses in his act are GREAT!)

Pretty damn funny

I hate reviewing things, but the last person tore this guy a new a-hole. If you can't stand a few/lot of swearing, don't purchase. If you have no paitence, skip to track 3 and proceed. His delivery is great. The polar bear bit might be my favorite.

I can't imagine someone not loving this guy's work!

Bobcat is a perfect blend of laugh-out-loud-funny, ,judgmental, insightful and self-deprecating. He makes a connection with the audience, just like the great ones always do. You feel like you know him. If you like Lewis Black another hilarious and sensitive guy, you will love Bobcat. Plus, he's not one of those "I hate everyone" types, who has to force himself to be just nice enough on stage to avoid repulsing his audience. I guess he's done ok, so he doesn't really hate life. He is telling inside jokes and stories, and we get to be on the inside. Howevery, if you like the vapid nonsense of Dane Cook, this album is probably over your head. On the other hand, if you're a big fan of Cook, you should laugh at anything, so you better get this album just to improve your quality of life.

Biography

Genre: Comedy

Bobcat Goldthwait (simply known as Bobcat) is one of several comics who emerged during the '80s and became known for his persona (à la Howie Mandel, Sam Kinison). Until later in his career, he rarely appeared out of character: a gutsy goofball with a grating voice. Bobcat is perhaps best remembered for his big debut role as "himself" in the movie Police Academy 2, the following Police Academy movies, and his string of comedy specials, including one in 1987,...
