EDITORS’ NOTES

Representing for Sacramento, Calif., C-BO has been dropping unapologetic, ultra-hardcore gangsta rap for two decades now, starting with his classic 1993 debut, Gas Chamber. He's worked extensively with just about every thugged-out West Coast artist imaginable, especially fellow Sac-Town natives and murder-rap specialists Brotha Lynch Hung and X-Raided. He's sold millions of units independently, despite zero crossover singles and extremely limited airplay. Currently affiliated with Young Buck's Ca$hville Records, he returns with Orca: The Killer Whale of the Hood. (It's hot on the heels of Cali Connection, released earlier this year.) As usual, dark yet catchy production and vivid, blood-drenched verses are the order of the day, as he shares the mic with a wide assortment of homies, including Bay Area legends E-40, B-Legit, and Yukmouth, plus L.A. pioneers MC Eiht, BG Knocc Out, WC, and King T. Highlights include "F*** Wit It," "Can't Grind Forever," "Bullets," and the lead single, "187."
