fond memories

I remember watching MuchMusic from Canada on the satallite dish when I was in college. This was one of the stand out bands of the time in my opinion. Closer Together was the video they were playing, and shortly after hearing the song, I happened to be in canada and had to buy the album. I listened to it A LOT. Closer Together is a good, up-tempo song. Ordinary People and Crying out for Lover were other standouts. Emilie is a very haunting and beautiful ballad. Now I just wish we could get "Under the Volcano" by Rock and Hyde (the Payolas) - another standout group from that time.

Guitarist Claude Thibeault, bassist Jean-Pierre Brie, drummer Phillipe Bernard and keyboard player Guy Pisapia asked vocalist Jean-Marc Pisapia to join them as the Box in 1982. He agreed, and the band released their first album (self-titled) two years later. Although all the members were French Canadian, they mostly sang in English. All the Time, All the Time, All the Time followed in 1985, but the band didn't make it in Canada until 1987's Closer Together. Their last album...
