The Way Electronic Music Should Be.

It is often rare that you find an artist that you can connect with on a level that elevates your mind, and challenges your ability to listen to compositions that are made of both samples and original beats. Michal Menert's album, "Even If It Isn't Right", is, by far, above the common level of electronic music these days. He has a way of constructing high beats and low beats while designating the best timing to insert a riff from some 50's, jazz vinyl. For a lot of people this music might not be the dance party music they're looking for, but it does have some of those but also slows down and allows MM to really challenge your music intillect. A lot of people are so engulfed with the five to 10 second intro that immediately gives way to the hard hitting, crunchy, acid drops that blast your brain away... I can be guilty of that sometimes but I always find myself going back to MM, daily!
Some might say MM is riding the coat tails of Pretty Lights, although they have been friends for years, growing up together along side with Paul Basic. But MM also helped PL with his intro to the world by co-producing "Taking Up Your Precious Time".
When listeing to "Even If It Isn't Right" take notice to the ups and downs, the funky piano runs, the nonrepetitive rhythmic flow or the vocal chants. This album has EVERYTHING! Buy on iTunes if you'd like or hit up prettylightsmusic.com... Just support this man and see him live!

This is by far one of the most amazing electronic albums of all time. Almost every song is perfect. There is so much going on at once, but everything is balanced out perfectly so it's enjoyable to listen to. I highly recommend you purchasing this if you want to go on an old school 50's electronic fusion adventure.

Best songs: The Same Disease, The Golden Rule, Take All You Want To, Solar Overdrive, The Wind and the Walls/Please, Exodus, Heart Chase Summer, Until I'm Found, New Heights and After the Rain.

The only song I can't really get into is Circuit Whispers.

I've listened to this album from start to finish numerous times and I still haven't gotten bored. It feels like I hear something new every time I listen to it. Definitely one of the best albums I've ever had the pleasure of acquiring. I hope Menert keeps producing great music.
