Kate, Will you marry me?

Seriously think about it. How good a story is that when our sugar-upped-ungrateful-good-fo-nothing grandkids ask us how we met. We can talk about how we grew up 20 mins from each other in PA but only met years later due to your wonderful sing-songs via iTunes. Boom, modern romance. I can speak of how much I love your musik, how happy it makes me. So lets do it. Lets move back to Pennsylvania. Build a tree house on a farm in Kutztown and get jobs making funnel cakes at Dorney Park. Love!!! Seriously. Buy these recorded sounds to support my newly confirmed fiancée.

Kate just made the world a better place!

This little album really does just that; it makes you smile, it makes you laugh, and the fact that it exists really does make the world a little better than it was before. But equally important, it isn't just fluff. This is real, authentic stuff... full of insightful observations about life and musical moments that capture something really true about the world in a pretty inexplicable way. And in a really radical sense, Kate has totally rejected all the obnoxious, humdrum elements of music that feels like it was just made to sell cds. For instance, as previous reviewer says, the songs aren't just about breakups and makeups (wait, there's more to human existence than sex???), and there's no whiny mewing like a kitten singing that nearly all female singers tend toward these days. She has a real voice, an authentic voice, and she doesn't do the bat your eyelashes and purr routine that is pretty much universal. (in a similar vein, I couldn't see her looking all whorish and "sexy" in a musical video like these female singers either. She actually wants to be appreciated for her talent, and fortunately, she has a lot of it!) She reminds me most of Rilo Kiley, who I love. The songs are very witty and her voice is beautiful in a similar way. Anyway, this was pretty much love at first sight. (I can totally relate to Ted on Scrubs!) This music will make you smile, and that's worth way more than the price of the album. Kate, if I am lucky enough to have you read my thoughts on your work, please make more! You're too ridiculously talented to not put out tons and tons of cds, and I have no doubt they will all be beautiful.

The best 9 minutes and 57 seconds ever recorded!!!

Every song on this album is a gem! I too was one of the millions who first caught attention of Kate Micucci as her character, Stephanie Gooch, via Scrubs. Kate has such a beautiful voice that when it touches your ears it’ll capture your heart with such subtlety. She was also able to take an instrument (ukulele) which is mainly used in traditional/local Hawaiian music and create pop heartfelt masterpieces in “Mr. Moon” and “Dear Deer”. “Out the Door” is hands down my favorite song on Songs-EP it’s about a person who is obviously more into a relationship than his/her counter part. “You want to make me dinner, I’d rather eat a piece of toast” is what did it for me, that line in itself is the bee’s knees and it made me fall in love with Kate and her music. Keep up the good work Kate!!!
