Always mind blowing

I never thought you could mesh dark and whimsical but McCluskey does it effortlessly. I could listen to this woman sing all day. Her voice floats over you like an Autumn breeze.
You can smell every emotion. Stunning.

So glad it's out...I needed this!!

I've followed Angela M. for years now. All her albums, seen her live. She rocks. But this album is something special. It's moody. There's even a french song that makes me feel like I'm in Paris in the 1920 listening to her sing and smoking a cigarette. I play this just for me but also it's so great as mood music for dinner parties and while friends come over. Her voice just sets the mood. If you know her, buy it, it's Angela at her best. Even if you're new to her...it's one of the best things out there right now. So authentic and real.

One of a kind...

There aren't many - if any - singers who nowadays can hold their own among the vocal legends of yesteryear (ie Nina Simone, Billie Holiday) and still turn in a dance anthem that tears apart the club (check out Angela's famous vocal on Morgan Page's "In The Air"). So, with each new Angela McCluskey release, the only question remaining is where her muse will take us now. In the case of her new Lambeth Palace EP, the music focuses a touch less on dance floors, while conjuring a nostalgia for cafes in Paris with its organic moody exotica. An intoxicating blend of chill out/angst ensues and is sure to take listeners on her own very special kind of trip.
