Lucy K

she's an awesome artist. This is a fantastic cd. One of the most soulful and honest voices i've ever heard. So impressed not only with her writing, but also who she chooses to cover. Have seen her many times in NYC. Can't wait for Cry Cry Cry 2 Also, praises to Duke Lavine. Extremely tasty player.

Another Good Collection from Lucy

Listening to Lucy's voice just might be like listening to the angels sing. All of the songs on this collection are very nice -- even the covers (although I still can't get used to "Ring of Fire"). The songs that Lucy and Richard wrote are honest and moving. With every listening, I grow more fond of "Today's the Day" and "The Gift" -- great songs. One problem -- the mixes sound muddy to me when listening on good speakers -- the bass is unfocused and there is a rather prominent drum beat that really grates on my nerves throughout most of the album. Oh well, perhaps a remix will be forthcoming. Meanwhile, I'll be listening to Lucy's wonderful voice only on the acoustic numbers or to the entire thing on the cheap speakers in my car -- a small sacrifice when listening to such good writing and beautiful singing!

Need more

Lucy's voice was perfect and the lyrics were fine but every song sounded alike. There are too many singers that can sound like her so Lucy needs to change some habbits or everyone will start to agree. I don't recomend this album.
