Editors’ Notes

Take the triumphal tone of the album title seriously: Overcomer is loaded with empowering songs of Christian hope, married to stylish beats that combine catchy pop and sleek R&B. The title track is a song of perseverance, and celebrates victory in Jesus. “Face 2 Face” looks heavenward with joyous anticipation. “Press On” pleas for endurance. And “What Scars Are For” finds a redemptive lining in struggle. Mandisa is a powerful singer, but you won’t mind when she’s joined by other voices on the gospel-flavored “At All Times.”

Customer Reviews

Truly anointed.

There are very few christian artist that can sing so many different styles and the message of God resonant in every note. There are some christian artists that sing dance tracks and they actually make me question whether or not if its about worship or the world. With Mandisa I don't feel that way. I know she is a messenger of God and her music will minister to a lot of people that would not otherwise give this genre of music a chance. Keep singing Mandisa! Through this platform your music keeps me uplifted and has impacted my life for the better. I'm sure its done the same for others :)
