Most would argue Metalcore has become stale nowadays, but these guys prove it is still a force to be reckoned with! Not giving in to newer electronic sounds (Atreyu!!!) They have a formula that works for them, and they truly find their sound on this record. If you enjoy Bands like Killswitch Engage and Bury Tomorrow this is a great listen for you!

AGD delivers another great Metalcore album. Their evolution is obvious while maintaining most of the signature grit and lush melodies that brought them notoriety in hits like "Home Is Where the Heart Is" and "Arise". They go radio-friendly in singles "Start Over", "Savior" and "Loveless"; pensive and melancholy in "Lonewolf" and "Fear"; and jackhammer-vicious in "Taking Over Me", "Devil Inside", and "In Deafening Silence". Every song has a clean, singable chorus hook which is trademark AGD these days and may be divisive to the Metalcore community, but I dig it. Tbh, a lot of OG Metalcore kids are 30-something suburbanites with little hellions of their own in 2019 who love them some hooks. Anti-melody purists are free to drown in angsty disdain as far as I'm concerned.

In all, "Overpower" will give +30 AGGRESSION to your driving and 300% ADV of testosterone to your workouts. Enjoy!

Reliable, dependable

Love this band: you get the same good solid album from these guys every time, no bad surprises. I love the back up singer on song #8; wish he would get more part in singing or would even become the lead singer...
