B-sides soon?

I have been a fan of LTJ since their first album. So, it goes without saying that this is a disappointing CD for me, since they have morphed into a pop punk band. I am happy that the band is doing well these days but I can't help but feel the music is not as good as it used to be. I would still rather listen to this than most of the music that seems to get released. The band has taken a clearly poppy route. Horns are all but gone (was it only three tracks?) and the Less Than Jake energy is toned way down. Some of the new guitar riffs are pretty sweet and the production is nice and crisp. I'm giving 3 stars because it is salvageable but not nearly what I was hoping for. If you are a fan of old LTJ or a fan of punk/ska this will most likely disappoint you as well. Maybe a B-sides CD will come out that has a lot of ska tracks that I am assuming got cut.

Idk wat ur all talken about?

Everyone seems to be dissapointed in them, but I like the cd a lot and i've been a fan of theirs for a looong time.Give them a break...they can't stay the same forever, and its good that they're changing. I dnt know why your all so mad you still have all their old music!! Just be chill and go with the flow.....

Weak.

That is the word to describe this album. Now don't get me wrong, I loved Anthem, and Less than Jake is great live as well... But c'mon!! Most of these songs are emo(I realize some of there older stuff was too, but it was easily avoided.). Soundtrack of My Life is decent, Let Her Go has stupid lyrics but good music, and Don't fall Asleep On the Subway makes the cut. Other than that, this album is a scar on the face of skadom. Emo hurts my ears.

Although formed in 1992 as a power pop trio with heavy punk leanings, Less Than Jake steadily transformed into a ska-inspired punk band with the addition of a horn section. Vocalist/guitarist Chris Demakes, bassist Shaun, and drummer/lyricist Vinnie Fiorello formed the first incarnation of the group, which took root in Gainesville, FL. After Shaun became the group's roadie, however, he was replaced by bassist Roger Manganelli, who picked up the instrument just to join the band. During 1993-1994,...
