a real review

ok let me break down this album so people can know if its good or not- (even though, by now you don't have to decide-you either hate paris or you love her) let's see: over all this album is clearly paris trying to prove something-which comes up short because we all know she wasn't given a record deal based on talent-without her looks and celebrity status, this album would have never happened. Her voice is nothing special- she never hits any amazing notes, just same toned throughout the album.(the breathy-trying to be sexy-baby voice she does) And I shouldn't critique the lyrics because honestly- we all know paris had nothing to do with them, but let me just give you the titles of a few songs: "I want you" "Turn you on" "Fightin' over me" Now i'll just let you decide.

A hit, but not by this artist...

I believe that had Paris Hilton not been a household name, this album might have done well on it's own. It portrays everywhere music seems to be going, back to deep dance club tracks, and light pop music for your days and nights. The album, after listening to it unobjectively, is rather good, now had I not know who Paris Hilton was, this album would recieve a five star, but since I do, I would only really rate it at maybe three. As it's important to judge the music and not the artist, I do give her props for releasing something that would be commercially acceptable for any up and comer. Five stars.

Don't be so hard on her

I know, most people are giving her low ratings mostly because they don't like her. but its not her we're rating. it's the album. Personally I thought the album was great. and besides its only her first album and probably wanted to try something new.
