Bottleneck Dreams expands Salamander Crossing's sonic palette, adding touches of electric instruments like guitar and organ, as well as a bit of accordion and slide guitar. Nevertheless, the traditional feel of the material is very much intact.

Great Music!

Great American folk music! Five Days in May and River and the Rain are as good a pair of songs as you'll find anywhere. They're both beautifully-crafted songs and the highlights of this album. Something Above and Crossing the Bar are hauntingly beautiful songs that stay with you long after you've first heard them. I've often wondered why this band didn't receive more airplay, but folk music just doesn't get the attention of corporate radio.
