Great

I just love this album. If you like classical music and Paul McCartney, this album is for you. Even if you just like classical music, the music is beautiful.

Best of Sir Paul's Classical albums

Paul is a great "Tunesmith". I have heard that several times over the years and have my own interpretation of what that means. He is great at fitting together patterns of chords and notes in ways that create something catchy, warm, beautiful, fun and just plain great. This has translated not as well when transferred to the grandiose nature of classical music and extended pieces of music. Do not get me wrong, he has done a great job with reprises and weaving medleys of songs together quite well, but writing a whole musical symphony is another thing altogether. In Working Classical, he stays to what he does much better and creates classical versions of his songs as short pieces of music and it comes across much better than his other attempts as classical music, Symphony, Oratorio, Ballet. This is his best classical album and well worth purchasing if you are not a hard-core fan.
