The Mersey Beat & Lemon Slice

The mighty Stone Roses. All hail the whirlwind of light and heat they produced. In like a lightning thief and out like the tide. In their wake a legacy born and legend unfulfilled. I am not here to sway those who were not in on the secret back in 1989. Those who might be reading this already know of the Roses. The saviors of the new british invasion. To this day, nothing makes me happier than to put on the album. The debut of all debuts. Some had their Beatles and Stones. I love them too. But, my father showed them to me. I found the Roses on my own. They were my band and it was my sound. The sound in my head that I dreamed to one day hear on the radio. The Stone Roses brought it like a hurricane. A debut record chock full with more hooks & hits than most bands entire career discography. These lads pushed something old into something new and showered us with the results. Ian, John, Mani & Reni...thank you for what you put down on tape. Thank you Silvertone for putting this out. Thanks Cressa for the moves. This is the prize jewel of my record collection. Perfection in the form of a mersey beat & lemon slice.

This is great!

the remastered album, the demo versions, the videos....fantastic!
