The sessions for the Magical Mystery Tour songs continued the experimentation that defined Sgt. Pepper. Fantastically surreal on "I Am the Walrus" and sweetly anthemic on "All You Need Is Love," Magical Mystery Tour is the band at its psychedelic peak. Originally released as a double EP to accompany the televised film of the same name, Magical Mystery Tour was expanded into a full-length album with the addition of single-only tracks such as "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Penny Lane."
