Wonderful record... full of peaks and valleys, heartfelt lyrics, pop sensibilities, and excellent musicianship make for an amazing listening experience.

A hidden treasure

These songs are bit hard to characterize -- a layered and intricate sound used sometimes in the service of a mellow floating ambiance on tracks like Everything is Temporary and A Million Miles and then kicked up with a driving drum and rocking on tracks like Elegy, Treetops and Mexico. A few songs like Fearful and Ancient as the Stars 2 are modern folksongs. The lyrics are modern poetry, evocative, full of love, loss and longing (and available for reading on the band's website). The band's website says that next Beat Radio cd is about to be released but its not too late to enjoy this one if you haven't already.
