#16 album of the year for 2013

Originally from Tacoma, but now based in Brooklyn, Widowspeak bring us dark road weary Americana rock with dreamy vocals ala Mazzy Star. Their song, "The Dark Age" is one of my favorites of the year.

Love your sound, very haunting, yet relaxing

Your sound brings me back to the 90s, great vocals, unique fusion of influences. Really glad I found you. P.s. minnewaska is my favorite place to go hiking

Your music is refreshing

I'm shocked your songs don't have more ratings. I hear the folk psychedelia often, but you guys do it so flawlessly. Plus I hear 'the Doors,'& 'Jefferson Airplane' in the chords. I really hope you stay around. Oh, and the young ladies voice brings a smile to my face. Thank you!
