Customer Reviews

Yes, THIS is a trance album. Vocal trance.

If you want to get technical this album contains vocal trance not straight trance (traditionally non-lyrical). It's not progressive, goa, psy or hard trance. It is mainstream regular good old fashined vocal trance, nothing more nothing less. It's not new, it's about 3-5 years old but they are some of the classics. If you are just getting in on the trance scene this is a good place to start. And by no means is this house music. Look at labels like Casa Rossa, Om and Gossip for excellent house music. As an album it hits all the bases as some of the best artists in the business. Also if you like this and want more vocal trance look at my playlists. iMix>Search: DJ Riceburner.

NOT the Perfect Playlist

Sure, this is pretty good Trance music. But dubbing it "The Perfect Playlist" is going way too far. I made a better trance playlist of "Ultimate Trance Music" on my own iTunes library and that's better than this. For one thing, this "Perfect Playlist" only has the shortened versions. Most of the time, the 'club mixes', aka the longer versions where everything is drawn out and lasts for over five minutes. These are all the 'radio edits'. That doesn't necessarily mean trouble, but it proves to be a downfall in the end. Let me go through each song. 1. It's a given that Lasgo would be on here. They've had many popular songs that actually reached American local pop radio stations. It's not that common - "Alone" by Lasgo is one of the few songs that proved that. I personally don't think it's that great of a song, but it's ok. 2. Ian Van Dahl's music is great. "Will I?" is one of her best hits. I like the other version of the song better however, with a different beat. 3. This is a good song, but it's not the regular version. I think this is the Ian Van Dahl Mix. Also, Dee Dee's "The One" is SO much of a better song than this. 4. The people who made this album put on the wrong songs by almost every artist. "Sunlight" is actually my least favorite song by DJ Sammy. Seriously! "Heaven" was his most popular song! Put on that instead! It's better! 5. I really like her music. "Scream For More" is a great song. I like "Only If I" better, but I can't always complain. 6. A decent song with decent vocals, but only decent. 7. I'm not sure why this song is so popular. It's way too cheesy. I know trance is supposed to be cheesy - I'm not stupid - vocal trance and cheesy always go together in a sentence. But this song goes a little over the top for me, plus it's kinda boring. 8. Good beat, but kinda slow for trance. 9. Cascada's awesome, but "Everytime We Touch" was her song, not "Miracle". 10. Another overrated song, but it's pretty good. 11. Average. Only average. 12. OMG. Another average song? What is this? So, overall, the people who made this playlist don't know good trance, and while they included some of the right artists, they didn't include their most popular and best songs. Overall a decent album, but you can find better trance on any iMix out there.

nice for starters

This album is great, especially those who really enjoy vocal trance. Every song here has a great melody, Laava's Wherever You Are being a prime example. (my favorite track on the album). Has just about every well known artists thats played in the clubs. Its also an album to really relax to. Definitly one of those driving album, and it keeps you company. Its definitly an album to get a party started before you get to the actual party haha. Very good for new listeners of the opens your ears, and definitly gets you on the road to other great trance albums out there. Though it isnt straight up trance as one would think of the title of the album, and alot of these songs are pretty old, but it is worth it.
