Rock's Revival Band - Too Bad They Broke Up!

So, you were born in the 80's but you were not even able to speak yet, let alone be able to understand the music of the time. And you say you were stuck with bands of the 90's? Well its not all bad. Luckily for you get a second chance with THE DARKNESS!! This album can definately take you to another era entirely! Even though you might be in the 00's you will imagine yourself in the late 70's when music ment something, and Rock N' Roll was sweeping the nations. Get the album - these guys deserve it. And you owe it to yourself....

Wait This Isn't Queen!

Seriously this band rules. With a style similar to Queen's, these guys are still different. With a fowl mouth, that can't be stopped, their lead singer sings well written songs that would make the master of repition (Kurt Cobain) proud. Even the guitar solos are well played. Can't wait till their new album.

...Classic Rock... except... like, now!

...With this album, the Darkness rocked their way into history in millions of peoples' hearts. The vocals are great, the kind that haven't been seen since Freddie Mercury died. The guitar would make Clapton or May proud, and The rhythm section is similar to The Who or Zep in the intensity. Buy the whole thing. If you don't want to waste the money, buy I Believe In A Thing Called Love, Get Your Hands Off My Woman (which reminds me a bit of Franz Ferdinand), Love On The Rocks With No Ice (Great fo Maiden or Priest fans), or Givin' Up. Makin' Out is an awesome song, but you can't buy it without the whole album. (It's worth it)

Formed: 2000 in Norfolk, England

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '00s, '10s

England's the Darkness centered around irrepressible frontman Justin Hawkins (vocals/guitars/keyboards), who, along with his guitar-playing baby brother Dan, bassist Frankie Poullain, and drummer Ed Graham, single-handedly resurrected the rather unfashionable sounds and attitudes of late-'70s hard rock for an unsuspecting generation. Following the demise of an earlier, conspicuously synth pop-based outfit named Empire, the Hawkins brothers sowed the seeds of what would become the Darkness at an impromptu...
