Customer Reviews

Persona is Perfection!!!

Been waiting a long time for this album and it's absolutely true that good things come to those who wait. Lovin' the flow of the album from beginning to end. It's universal and has something for everyone of every age. It's fun, inspirational and soulful. Love to hear you rapping and singing and fusing different genres of music together. I loaded it in my BERRY pod to workout to on the treadmill and stairclimber. My faves, there's so many it depends on the mood i'm in. The Light, Fast Car, Over the Mountain, Runnin', If you Want, Take me away......after a LOng as Week!! THIS ALBUM IS A CLASSIC!!! COOL AND DRE went to another level as producers on this album. can't wait to see the videos and hear the remixes!

Very Versatile

The Queen is Back! Hopefully those that like to keep artists in a box with one style refrain from writing reviews for this album. She gives us some Old School Hip-Hop as well as a range of other genres. I love the versatility and I'm glad Queen Latifah is still making hits after all of these years.

Give it to'm Queen!!

How many rappers can take on any genre? Package it up and still bring it!! Love the first QL Lp! Loving this one too!!

Biography

Born: March 18, 1970 in Newark, NJ

Genre: Hip-Hop/Rap

Years Active: '80s, '90s, '00s, '10s

Queen Latifah was certainly not the first female rapper, but she was the first one to become a bona fide star. She had more charisma than her predecessors, and her strong, intelligent, no-nonsense persona made her arguably the first MC who could properly be described as feminist. Her third album, Black Reign, was the first album by a female MC ever to go gold, a commercial breakthrough that paved the way for a talented crew of women rappers to make their own way onto the charts as the '90s progressed....
