Glass shines with Powaqqatsi

This fascinating album is nothing less than spectacular, elegant and exciting. FINALLY a composer who knows how to use heavy bass with stirring and emotional music. I've never see this movie, but I do know the theme was used beautifully in THE TRUMAN SHOW starring Jim Carey. Listen to this music LOUD on headphones. It'll knock your socks off.

Sure it's dark, the whole trilogy is dark, but this one is the brightest of the bunch. The score follows the film seamlessly, as Glass composed /while/ making the film with Reggio; as this is least depressing of the films, this is the lightest of the scores. This has the most hope by far.

It is a great album, unfortunately it's not all here. Track 9 'Video Dream' is cut short. I don't think the folks at Itunes are big eneough Philip Glass fans to notice.
