Album Review

Journey to the Finale rounds up the 11 performances American Idol winner Phillip Phillips performed on the show. Phillips is an amiable enough singer and although he often tackles soulful material — "The Letter," "In the Midnight Hour," "Superstition," "Hard to Handle" — he's best with somewhat showier or slower material, like Genesis' "That's All," Billy Joel's "Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)," and Damien Rice's "Volcano." But this isn't a set designed to convince the doubtful — it's for the converted, the ones who voted him this year's American Idol, a way to keep them happy til they have a real debut album in their hands.

Customer Reviews

Great!

I knew Phillip would win from the first audition!

He's a winner.

Phillip Phillips! You not only have sooo much blessed talent, but to be as humble as you are!
I love the personalization to each of these songs! Waiting on your album :) <3

Honesty and Heart

Phillip proved that someone with heart, honesty, and takent could win American Idol. He performed his own way every night and didn't let anyone try to change him and that is why I voted for him. He made every song his own and didn't try to mimic the original artists. I can't wait to see what his album sounds .
