Album Review

There are two versions of "Phoney Phranchise" one produced by Del the other by Domino. The Del version is more dark, while the Domino version is faster and works a little better. "Press Rewind" is an ok track but it features a piano loop that gets old. The last song is "MasterMinds" and it might be the best. Del is joined by Tajai of Souls of Mischief where they take turns dodging in and out of the track.

Customer Reviews

awesome

Del has an outstanding reputation among revolutionary rappers. He is the first to get way from the mainstream "gangster" rap, and put some life and creativity into his craft. Phoney Phranchise is another short record put out by Del, and it has tracks that are even better then his existing records. It is a must by for the Del fan!

Signed to Elektra/Asylum, Del's debut release, I Wish My Brother George Was Here, was issued in 1991 and produced by Cube and,...
