One of the reigning and most passionate champions of Mozart’s keyboard repertoire, Mitsuko Uchida offers two wonderful, stately readings of his piano concertos here. The 25th is light and balanced, with Uchida treating and shaping each line with maximum delicacy and, often, perfection.

These are great performances

Saw Mitsuko live with the Chicago Symphony last year playing Mozart. Loved her interpretations and touch on the keyboard. These are great performances.

Cleveland, Ohio, is a large port city on Lake Erie founded in 1796. Despite its large population of central European immigrants, it long lacked a full-time professional orchestra and relied mostly on visiting artists. In 1915 the Musical Arts Association (MAA) was founded to facilitate such concerts, but under the guidance of Adella Prentiss Hughes changed its mission to establishing a permanent orchestra.
